Freelance Me

laurencekirk.info
Laurencekirk.info is the official website for my hometown. Laurencekirk is in the North East of Scotland.
The website has a lot of user-based features, such as the ability to post comments and upload images. Both posted comments and uploaded images all have to be verified via an online admin control panel before they "go live" on the website, this ensures that no inappropriate posts or images are uploaded.
As well as that, the website has information on the towns history, shops and places to eat and drink.
The website uses a mixture of XHTML 1.0 transitional, CSS 2.0 PHP and MySQL.
Save OB!
Save OB is an online petition to try and get a popular character from Hollyoaks, which is a popular cult tv show in the UK to stay in the show.
My thinking behind this website was to make it very quick and easy to add your name to the petition, I wanted a visitor to achieve that without having to click 1 or 2 links, which I did.
To ensure that no one abuses the petition, all entries are checked before they are included in the petition. There is also some validation to ensure that a name is entered.
The website uses a mixture of XHTML 1.0 transitional, CSS 2.0, JavaScript PHP and MySQL.
